Sable Island has always held a sense of mystery and fascination to me since a young girl. The idea of wild horses living and surviving on a sand bar in the Atlantic Ocean, protected from little outside influence is hard to imagine. It is extremely important that this never changes. Educating the public on the environmental and ecological rights of Sable Island is paramount.
My 30 years as a Senior Advertising Sales Rep with The Chronicle Herald has allowed me to market and promote many various companies and their products to the right customer. On many occasions I have had the pleasure of working with non profit associations. While having little or no budget, the goal was always the same…to reach those important members, supporters, donations. I feel I can bring valuable insight from a sales and marketing aspect that will help ensure Sable Island and it’s inhabitants continue to thrive for many years to come.
